In @Edinburgh_CC the pedestrian always comes……after the important task of advertising fringe shows. This junk is taking up more than half the width of the pavement. What’s the excuse? How do locals benefit?
#SaveEdinburgh from unsustainable, environmentally damaging festival erections in Edinburgh city centre's greenspaces like St Andrew Square Garden @thecockburn @EdinburghWH! 🙀
The Fringe is about to get underway! 🎭
Edinburgh is buzzing as performers, artists and audiences arrive from around the world.
A huge thank you to everyone who makes the Fringe what it is.
Here’s to another brilliant Fringe!
Presumably it's insured, so rebuild it like for like @thecockburn @EdinburghWH @PrivateEyeNews @sto_paul?

@AnasSarwar 🚨 Islam wrecked London—now targeting Edinburgh! 🏴
Third-world chaos = cheap property for greedy elites to snatch at discounts. 💰🏠
It's always about how elites can get RICHER!

This is an absolute fricking farce. This means there will be a quarter-mile stretch of London Road that is dominated by student housing in three separate developments! @Edinburgh_CC is sleeping on the job. What about people who live here and like amenities? #SaveEdinburgh
1.9 acres of land at 151 London Road in central Edinburgh has been put on the market. The land holds planning permission for the development of 107 flats and 361 purpose-built student accommodation bedrooms.

@GerbilJaws FFS. They’re knocking down everything at Jock’s Lodge for student housing. Someone wants to buy the site of The Ballroom for student housing and now this. People living here didn’t move into an area surrounded by bloody students with no amenities for locals. #SaveEdinburgh
#SaveEdinburgh from the misery of LTNs.
In a few weeks time we will start consulting on the Dalry (and part of Gorgie) 20 Minute Neighbourhood.
The image shows where it could begin.
Intentionally ugly? RUSTY BOX PLANTERS on LEITH WALK: an issue that isn't going to disappear if the council do nothing. @Edinburgh_CC @NTBCC @theSpurtle @JackRMCaldwell @PLACEEdinburgh @iamonabeach #saveEdinburgh
@StreetWurrier @Edinburgh_CC I’m shocked. I mean, who could possibly have predicted that a cycle lane that zigzags more than a drunken wino at pub closing time wouldn’t be fit for purpose? To think people were actually paid money to come up with that design! My council tax money!!!! Sort it. #SaveEdinburgh
@davidlowenfels @Edinburgh_CC In council speak these are PLANTERS. They are used because the council — despite declaring a 'NATURE EMERGENCY' —have an unofficial ban on street trees. These rusty boxes are located just off Leith Walk, once famous for its long lines of elm trees, hence Elm Row. #SaveEdinburgh
@Edinburgh_CC As ever with your consultations, the questions are biased towards the scheme going ahead, so the results will tend to be biased as well. If you’re going to consult, at least make a genuine consultation. Do better. #SaveEdinburgh
Edinburgh has a moral duty to send this clown back to Kirkcaldy.
@CllrScottArthur The oldest political trick? Politico A raises issue X. Instead of debating it, Politico B instead suggests that A is neglecting issue Y. The intellectual level of the Labour Party? #saveEdinburgh
@CllrScottArthur @Edinburgh_CC Project could've resolved problem of 3 unrelated architectural blocks (around the gyratory) with a bold, attractive central feature, but instead the junction is even more pro-traffic, anti-people. Who will want to go there? No-one! 2/ #SaveEdinburgh
Been happening for some time. Local tourists come to cheaply-organised generic events, while international visitors need more motivation (and authenticity) to make an trip worthwhile. Edinburgh's reputation continues to slip. This has consequences. 2/ #SaveEdinburgh
@CllrScottArthur Ironic that @CllrScottArthur congrats CEC. Christmas Market prob. least original/most enviromentally harmful & reputationally damaging in Europe. Hogmanay purged of tradition. Labour the party of 'panem et circenses'. All for a cheap commercial buck. #Saveedinburgh
@DA_Anderson Location of the Christmas Market funfair & all its heavy equipment on soft surfaces in public gardens on Common Good land will never stop being controversial. Every year it ends with extensive damage & loss of access. #SaveEdinburgh
