It can be true that there were members of the orig board of the #ORCC that left community members uncomfortable with using their services. rightfully those folx should step away #SaveORCC

Please know that I've received NUMEROUS messages from people on my IG account & Twitter account who feel the same way I do & really question the @saveorcc @ORCCsupports dichotomy. We find the overall conversation is further harming our communities (yes, plural) #saveorcc #ottawa

@saveorcc @abigailkidd @MsCommuniKate @AHosselet @Chibambo @FaeJohnstone @ORCCsupports Someone brought up how in some cases (like other VAW orgs including SASC) the boards aren't made public, b/c confidentiality of survivors etc? And also asked about #SaveORCC having made the ORCC physical location public, when it has always been confidential for similar reasons?

1/Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre closure leaves survivors without support, includes lay off all staff (after months of mistreatment), many of whom are BIPOC and some who have worked there for decades, and happened without any community consultation. #saveorcc #ottawa
