Hearing this news in the wake of the successful campaign to #SaveTheSASC has me feeling just a little hopeful, which is a rare feeling in anti-violence work.
Great decision by UBC's AMS, who will not after all close the Sexual Assault Support Centre. #SaveTheSASC https://t.co/Gf0XBd3OGP
I want to thank the staff and volunteers of the SASC for taking big risks in releasing a public statement and asking for the community to lend their support to #SavetheSASC. I don't want to underestimate the energy it takes to do that so publicly, and the toll it's taken.
FYI for folks who've been involved in #SavetheSASC - thank you for all that you've done to help support the SASC, the UBC community, and most importantly, survivors. I don't expect that things will be easy going forward, but this is a first step. https://t.co/pwXcRzVfeS
