Session 2 is on YouTube! In this session, we look at what structured literacy is and is not, dispelling some of the common misconceptions and false narratives we often hear from those who don’t understand this #evidencebased, #scienceinformed approach to literacy instruction.
In this episode, you’ll also hear from diverse teachers who are working in diverse classrooms across #bced. They all have compelling journeys to share about how increasing their understanding of the #scienceofreading and the implementation #structuredliteracy has transformed their practice. All have seen positive impacts on their students, highlighting the connection between literacy and #equity.
We hope to see more educators in all roles join us for the next two sessions on June 5th and 12th, when we dive into evidence-based universal screening and multi-tiered systems of support.
