Our first #solidjs project (we are migrating our frontend low code framework from #reactjs to #solidjs).

Introducing YappyDraw — a soon to be open-source drawing & presentation + animation tool built from scratch with #SolidJS + RoughJS (Vibe Architected).
100% local (no data is sent to cloud).
There will be edge cases as testing is in progress but we were able to create, demo, train people using this.
It took close to 120 hours of vibe architecting and an additional 100 hours of manual review.
The effective man-days in efforts if I have coded manually will be around 200+ man days (given I know a fair amount of coding). A huge saving indeed!
The slide mode is as good as any modern presentation software.
This was also to test #solidjs (and I am happy the way code turned out).
I created this tool for me, my team (as we were using multiple tools and I want to combine the feature I like and still keep the UI/UX simple).
This tool was also a test of how far AI based coding goes and if we can avoid that so called sloppy code. Happy to say, we achieved great success in this (some refactoring's are still in progress)
You are welcome to be the judge once I open source it as we are reviewing and changing each line of code we don't like.

It's a canvas-based diagramming tool that combines hand-sketched aesthetics with a full-blown animation engine and presentation system.
Tech stack:
- SolidJS for fine-grained reactivity (no virtual DOM, instant updates even with hundreds of elements on canvas)
- RoughJS for that hand-drawn sketch feel — every shape, connector, and arrowhead rendered with natural roughness
- Dual render modes: switch between Sketch (hand-drawn) and Architectural (clean lines) with one click
- Pure Canvas 2D rendering — no SVG DOM overhead
What makes it different from other drawing tools apart from inspiration:
Animation engine with 30+ presets — fadeIn, bounce, pulse, morph, typewriter, glitch, and more. Animate any element with spring physics easing, keyframes, and triggers (on-click, on-hover, after-prev). Even tables can be animated row-by-row or cell-by-cell.
Persistent animations like orbit (elements revolving around a center), spin, and flow effects on connectors (animated dashes, dots, pulses).
State morphing ("Magic Move") — save display states and smoothly transition between them. Think Keynote's Magic Move but for technical diagrams.
Full presentation system with spatial slides on an infinite canvas, 8 transition types, laser pointer with decay trails, and temporary ink that fades out.
80+ shapes — not just rectangles and circles. Infrastructure diagrams (servers, load balancers, firewalls, lambdas), UML, DFD, wireframes, sketchnote icons, and even math notation shapes.
Mindmap system with 5 layout directions, organic branch connectors (tapered bezier curves), collapsible nodes, keyboard-driven editing (Tab/Enter/Arrow keys), and focus mode.
Tables with animated reveals, row/column operations, and styled cells.
Connectors with 9 arrowhead types (including crow's foot for ER diagrams), bezier/elbow/polyline routing, flow animations, and curved text labels.
Other highlights:
- Layer system with groups, visibility, locking, and opacity
- Gradient fills (linear, radial, conic), shadows, 18 blend modes
- Video export (WebM/MP4 at 60fps)
- SVG and PNG export
- localStorage auto-save
- Command palette, context menus, smart spacing guides
