""SHOOT ON SIGHT" AND THE DEATH OF RULE OF LAW?
Useful to recall that $IGP Tunji Disu @TunjiDisu1 was quoted to have said:
"anyone found holding gun should be shot on sight" - #summaryexecution style in a democracy or autocracy or tyranny???
What happened to rule of law? Due process? The #Constitution? Right to Fair Hearing/Trial??
If we normalize extrajudicial talk for "them" today,
it will be used
against "us" tomorrow.
#Law must
apply to everyone,
or it applies to no one.
Worth mentioning that the $NPF in #Osun recently got new patrol vans.
Boldly branded as "Donated by $ALGON with $support of $FG ."
The timing of such

#RANT: OBO, ADELEKE, OSUN 2026 GOV ELECTION & FED. MIGHT: POWER IS NOT FREELY GIVEN
Earlier today, @davido
OBO wrote an open letter to President Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
calling his attention to the current state of things in Osun State.
He also informed the US President, as well as the international community, that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu [PBAT]
has subtly, or somehow tactically, encouraged the intimidation of voters and suppression of votes in Osun.
A similar tactic to what was obtainable in the Gubernatorial Election in Lagos State, where Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour was made to have ridden on the back of the goodwill of Peter Obi winning Lagos for LP in the 2023 election.
1. THE HARD TRUTH ABOUT "FEDERAL MIGHT"
Anyone who has followed Nigerian elections knows how difficult it is to win against the power of incumbency at the center.
When the federal government deploys all the resources of the state, it becomes an uneven playing field:
1. NPF - The police might not be so actively involved, but they are positioned to look away when touts of the ruling party commit atrocities.
They use thugs or road workers to do their dirty work and sometimes arm them.
2. Army - Used for "internal security"
during elections.
Their presence alone can intimidate voters and communities.
3. DSS - Allegations of surveillance, arrests, and pressure on opposition figures and organizers.
4. INEC - The umpire. When there are accusations that INEC is "in the pocket,"
it raises fears about BVAS manipulation, result collation,
and declaration.

3. WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN OSUN LATELY
Osun politics has been tense since the 2022 guber that brought Gov Adeleke @AAdeleke_01
As we approach this Saturday's Gubernatorial Election, here’s what’s been reported:
1. #NURTW/Park Management #Clashes:
There have been repeated clashes
between factions over control of motor parks and markets.
Both APC and Accord have accused each other of using "park boys" to harass opponents.
There have been reports of injuries and in some cases, deaths around Ilesa, Osogbo, and Iwo.
Police have made arrests, but both sides blame the other.
2. Political Violence:
Ahead of the GUBER election, there have been attacks on party secretariats, billboards torn down, and rallies disrupted. OSUN CP
has repeatedly warned against thuggery.
3. Federal Presence:
The FG has increased visibility of federal projects and "donations" in Osun. That ALGON/FG-branded patrol van donation to NPF is one of them. Critics call it pre-election positioning.
4. THE REAL FIGHT
THIS SATURDAY:
OSUN PEOPLE VS FEDERAL MIGHT
This election is strictly for the Gubernatorial seat. Not LG.
While Gov Adeleke
might have the
support of the people,
as most folks
are not happy
with the APC-led FG
and given the bad antecedents
of APC in Osun,
the fight on this Saturday will be between the good people of Osun
choosing who leads them for the next 4 years, and whether
the FG can be counted on to be fair in how
it coordinates
the Osun State Gubernatorial Elections.
That is the test.
Will it be the
will of Osun people, or the will of federal might?
5. ON POWER, SILENCE, AND OBO'S ROLE
"Power is transient.
No one holds it forever. But while you hold it,
the rule of law must
be allowed to prevail.

Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians 'as such', not just in Gaza: look at the totality of conduct/crimes against the totality of the Palestinians in the totality of the land slated for ethnic cleansing.
Israel must be stopped, and we will.
