Did you get your Trump phone yet? Apparently around 3800 people did. Because Trump Mobile has run into yet another little problem. This week, Sen. Maggie Hassan accused Trump Mobile and its wireless partner, Liberty Mobile, of failing to make required FCC disclosures involving fraud prevention, “know your customer” procedures and foreign ownership. The Washington Post searched the relevant FCC databases and couldn’t find the required filings. And this is just the latest. Trump Mobile previously acknowledged exposing customer data online. Now there are reports that hackers obtained personal information belonging to more than 3,600 customers. The T1 phone was repeatedly delayed after customers put down $100 deposits. It was originally marketed as “Made in USA,” until that language suddenly disappeared and became claims about American design and assembly. The actual phone tells a completely different story, though. A teardown found the T1’s hardware is essentially a reworked, overpriced HTC U24 Pro, with the overwhelming majority of its components coming from China. Final assembly supposedly takes place in Miami. Then there’s the price. The phone was advertised at $499. It’s now $749. That’s called fraud, by the way. So much for America First. But this wouldn’t be the first time the Trump family has defrauded people., so everyone should have expected this. Most of us did. Trump University ended with a $25 million settlement after students accused the company of deceptive practices. The Trump Foundation was dissolved after a court found Trump breached his fiduciary duties and improperly used charitable funds. The Trump Organization itself was convicted of 17 criminal counts involving tax fraud, conspiracy and falsifying business records. And last but certainly not least, a New York court found Donald Trump and the Trump Organization liable for persistent fraud involving financial statements used with lenders and insurers. Different businesses. Different years. Same name. So if you want to find the fraud, you should probably start in the White House.

The White House says a family that puts in the max of $5,000 a year could see that account hit an estimated $303,000 by the time the kid turns 18. Companies like Google and donors like Michael Dell are stepping up too, with $2.2 billion already put in since July 4th. Democrats spent decades promising handouts, and Trump is giving working families real ownership in the American economy. This is how you build the next generation of capitalists instead of the next generation of socialists.
