Today, under the #TUBITEHOProject, IMRO Rwanda is convening a 2-day sensitization workshop for journalists and social media influencers on harm reduction, addiction, and the minimum package of services available to People Who Use Drugs in Rwanda.

At #IAS2026 13 conference in Brazil, #SFR, with fellow #TubitehoProject coalition partners working on drug harm reduction, is engaging global organizations to exchange experiences, strengthen collaboration, n advance community-led HIV prevention,treatment, n harm reduction. #HIV
The coordinator of #TubitehoProject, @Elvis_Benimana, took part in scientific sessions and networking with harm reduction organizations working with people who use drugs, sex workers, communities and people in prisons.
The discussions focussed on policy reform, reducing stigma and discrimination, and improving access to HIV services for key populations. The knowledge and partnerships built at #IAS2026 will help strengthen community-led HIV and harm reduction interventions in Rwanda.

Over the next three days, participants will strengthen their skills in grant writing, resource mobilization, monitoring and evaluation, financial management, conflict resolution, and NGO compliance.

Today, @Sfrwanda1 , with support from @expertisefrance under the #TubitehoProject, ended a two-day sensitization workshop on drug harm reduction.
The workshop brought together law enforcers from @Gasabo_District, including sector-level social affairs officers, to raise awareness about the challenges faced by People Who Use Drugs (PWUD) and to promote a human rights-based approach in law enforcement.
This initiative plays a key role in fostering a more informed and supportive environment, aiming to create effective and compassionate responses to drug use. It marks an important step toward expanding harm reduction services and improving the well-being of PWUD in Rwanda.

In collaboration with Médecins du Monde, @HDIRwanda managed to conclude a five-day training course within the framework of #TubitehoProject aimed at improving harm reduction services for People Using Drugs (PUD) in Rwanda.
The training brought together outreach workers, peer educators, nurses, psychologists, doctors, social workers, and data/monitoring managers for practical capacity building. The main areas of focus were:
💡Managing Inclusive Access Centers (IACs) as safe and stigma-free spaces for PUDs
💡 Plan effective awareness-raising activities
💡 Understand the risks associated with drug use and implement risk reduction strategies.

En collaboration avec Médecins du Monde, nous avons réussi à conclure une formation de cinq jours dans le cadre du #TubitehoProject, visant à améliorer les services de réduction des risques pour les Personnes Utilisant des Drogues (PUD) au Rwanda.
La formation a réuni des travailleurs de proximité, les éducateurs pairs, des infirmiers, des psychologues, des médecins, des travailleurs sociaux et des responsables des données/du suivi pour un renforcement pratique des capacités. Les principaux domaines d'accent étaient les suivants :
✅ Gérer les Centres d'Accès Inclusifs (CAI) en tant qu'espaces sûrs et sans stigmatisation pour les PUD
✅ Planifier des activités de sensibilisation efficaces
