After working in a medical clinic, I remade our intake form bc too many patients stated they'd never taken antipsychotics or any psychiatric medication. I worked at a medical clinic where patients would tell me they were on "sleep meds" only to find out it was Seroquel. They'd sit b4 me in full blown tardive dyskenisa of the mouth & swear they'd never taken an antipsychotic b4. #InformedConsent @Mad_In_America @AmerMedicalAssn

Having been #Misdiagnosed w/ Tx resistant #Schizoaffective #bipolar & Tx'd w/ 37 diff combos of 5 classes of #psychiatric meds & >100 #ECT, Drs could've healed me in '98 if they'd recogzd physiological cause of #ToxicEncepolapathy #F06.2 #IatrogenicHarm caused #TardiveDisorders

Psychiatry’s misdiagnoses, historical incompetence, impaired unethical clinicians and RIGHT ON SCHEDULE — #iatrogenic harm #ECT + overmedicating fast tracking neurotoxic side effects is at root of social ills, iatrogenic induced disease, incarceration, suicide, premature death.

Living w/ Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS), 18 mos after careful medically supervised titration. Doctors couldn't explain #TardiveDisorders choosing instead to simply label it psychosomatic conversion disorder. Gratefully diff MD recognized problems & Tx appropriately.
