So here's an idea: instead of journals asking scientists to peer-review manuscripts for free, why not offer the reward of waived image or page fees in same journal or stable for every manuscript reviewed?? @springerpub @WeAreIngenta @PLOSONE @ElsevierConnect #TheCostOfKnowledge
I agree- everyone in #science should read this to just raise awareness quite a bit more! Pro-profit #journals charge us 1) publication fees, 2) reading fees and 3) precious time as pro bono referees– and make 40% net profit! Something's wrong here!

Nope. No review for #elsevier due behaviour with swedish universities and other practices. They take tax payers through library, make money from my research, put a big political advertisement banner on my paper and then think I will do review. No thanks. #thecostofknowledge
