A very poignant point made by @words2dwise. The transition to NIDS should be NOT promoted as a political initiative but rather as a global imperative based on global sustainable development goals. This will yield greater enrollment.

#ThinkDigitalJA Would have preferred to have seen a complex 36 digit alpha-numeric-hexadecimal code being used as NIDS number, less potential for fraud, also parallel digital app operation for those who want this option.

They had responded to it earlier and in essence, said that all Jamaicans home and abroad can enrol. They can start the process online but would eventually have to come home to finish, since it will require fingerprint and facial image #ThinkDigitalJA

A number of our elderly have faced difficulty in adjusting to no walking into banks. How will NIDS be easy to use or access for them. Especially since you referred to them applying online for birth certs. Some don't have any help. #ThinkDigitalJA
