When adverse events happen, human nature is to focus on negatives. A little support at the right time can help to see what went well in situations, sadly this doesn't always happen and people leave because loss of confidence is equated to loss to competence.
@elliebullman93 @NursingTimes @studentNT Absolutely, I am hoping discussions like #ThisIsWhyWeLeave are the push we need to see real change. I think we need to help lead it and student mental health support is something I am so passionate about.
This 👇🏻. #ThisIsWhyWeLeave is about highlighting the challenges to enable positive changes. I love nursing, I help at open days & actively encourage people to get into nursing. It is wonderful, it would just be even more so if we could relieve some of the burden & hardship.

@whatlyddid The stories being highlighted by the #ThisIsWhyWeLeave discussions are indeed sad, yes, but I think they are so important in being able to improve things for students and nurses throughout their careers going forward. The tide is turning and people are rightly demanding more.
