No. Sanders proxies on the #UnityReformCommission were the most vocal in defense of the caucuses. But most of them ended up voting (unanimously) with the rest of the commission on the changes.

Shake up at the top of the Biden campaign.
O'Malley-Dillon was not only campaign manager to the O'Rourke campaign but was also co-chair of the #UnityReformCommission (the Clinton-appointed chair).

Larry Cohen, in particular, but also Jane Kleeb defended caucuses at the final #UnityReformCommission meeting in December 2017. The problem was that they were just outnumbered. The one controversial caucus provision ended up tabled. 3/

@CobyRudolph @sluggahjells @RobertMackey I mean... Sanders was up against stuff like this.
It's a wonder he didn't lose his mind. #UnityReformCommission

@RobertMackey @powerforus_ @NomikiKonst Fun fact: the committee that wrote the rules on superdelegates, contained superdelegates.
(Unelected, naturally.) #UnityReformCommission

@RobertMackey @powerforus_ Read @NomikiKonst on her 2-year experience seeking more democratic reforms, including eliminating superdelegates.
The Sanders contingent was a minority on the #UnityReformCommission. Konst says they didn't write the rules; the Perez committee did.

Interesting back and forth on superdelegates here. Look, I followed this from the convention through the #UnityReformCommission and then the #DNCRBC.
The thing that the Sanders folks complained the most about in 2015-16 was early, en masse endorsements.

How did superdelegate change altered the game? Very unlikely they were ever going to back the difference. Maybe Bernie’s anti-SD messaging discouraged elites from endorsing.

Flores' endorsement of Warren is noteworthy not because of the Biden stuff but because she was a Sanders supporter in 2016, on the board of Our Revolution and a Sanders appointee on the #UnityReformCommission. #EndorsementPrimary

here's the May 2, 2016 POLITICO report, from FEC filings, that first substantiated @BernieSanders' campaign supporters' claims about the DNC and state parties: https://t.co/NIyQVN0BDN - and then July 22, 2016 Wikileaks, causing DWS to resign, then the 2017 #UnityReformCommission-

Harris adds another out-of-state endorsement. This time from OH congresswoman and former #UnityReformCommission member, Marcia Fudge. Not a small thing. #EndorsementPrimary

That ~1000 state legislative seats lost stat -- often exaggerated well beyond that -- was a constant drumbeat during the #UnityReformCommission discussions throughout 2017.

Rs ave long better at seeing the value of states than Dems.
That seemed to change post-2016, when Ds realized they had lost ~1,000 state leg seats under Obama. New groups popped up, the DLCC expanded.
But as pres races ramps up, harder to keep focus. https://t.co/dNLz19OePl

Fudge was both permanent chair of the Dem convention in 2016 and later a member of the #UnityReformCommission. Sending a pretty clear signal here.

O'Rourke wins the Berman primary. #StaffPrimary
He becomes (at least) the second Clinton-appointed member of the #UnityReformCommission on O'Rourke's staff, joining manager, Jen O'Malley-Dillon.

Yes, this was a distinction regularly made during the #DNCRBC consideration of the #UnityReformCommission report. The traditional caucus format may be fundamentally reshaped for 2020, but there remains a difference between party-run and state run contests.
https://t.co/MNo3DHqoQP
I think it’s important to make a distinction between party-run primaries in ex-caucus states and actual state-run primaries. For example, AK and KS are going to have 4-hour windows to show up and vote. That’s not the same as the 12+ hour window most state-run elections have.

Former Sanders campaign manager and #UnityReformCommission member, Jeff Weaver, will have a different role in any 2020 Sanders campaign.

@NomikiKonst Happy New Year Nomiki! Cheering you on from NJ & supporting your candidacy. Say what you will about Twitter, pretty cool that I can interact directly with a cool person who I deeply respect but don’t really know outside of #TYT, the #UnityReformCommission and on here...
This issue came up *a lot* during the #UnityReformCommission & #DNCRBC meetings of 2017-18. The DNC was/is pushing the idea of focusing down ballot. But that is easy to say during a midterm year and harder to do when folks shift to presidential mode.
https://t.co/9fEf9RQ98P
I think the story here, and this is true with Beto as well, is the extent to which Democratic donors and activists are so presidency-focused, such that they discount the power and importance of electing governors and senators and everyone else down the line.
