هفته جهانی انسانیت
روزها و هفتههای بسیاری توسط سازمان ملل متحد با عناوین مختلف نامگذاری شدهاند تا جامعه بینالمللی را نسبت به معضلات اساسی آگاه سازند؛ معضلاتی که در رأس توجه حاکمان و سیاستمداران جهان قرار نگرفتهاند اما وجودشان نشانگر بحرانهای عمیقی است که جامعه جهانی با آنها دستبهگریبان است. این مناسبتها برای یادآوری کمبود عدالت، آزادی، صلح و امنیت در جوامع بشری و همچنین بحرانهای زیستمحیطی همچون گرمایش زمین، آلودگی آب، هوا و خاک، و نابودی گونههای زیستی تعیین شدهاند. ریشهیابی تمامی این بحرانها ما را به یک نتیجه میرساند: عدم معرفت گرایی و درک بشر از هویت ذاتی خویش و هدفمندی خلقت. بهبیاندیگر، انسان از حقیقت خود فاصله گرفته و در نتیجه، دچار بیاخلاقی شده است. چرا که انسانیت، اخلاقیترین زبانی است که آدمها را فارغ از تفاوتها به یکدیگر نزدیک میکند و حتی فراتر از آن، آنان را به رعایت حقوق دیگر موجودات زنده متعهد میسازد.
اول تا هفتم مارس بهعنوان «هفته انسانیت» نامگذاری شده است؛ زمانی برای یادآوری عنصر اصلی و مشترک میان انسانها، ورای جنسیت، نژاد، ملیت، مذهب و سایر مرزهای ساختگی که موجب جدایی آنها از یکدیگر شده است. انسانیت از آن زمان شکل گرفت که انسان حامل قابلیت عشق ورزیدن و عاشق شدن گردید؛ قابلیتی که مختص اوست و او را قادر به ایثار، فداکاری، همدلی و مهربانی میسازد.
