#education- We can predict what next. From 1900-2018 practice in ed changed every “ generation” until 1980s.. Since then decisions have been formulaic, not about practice 1st, instead about “ evidence” to suit politics #accountability #userpay #auspol 1/
@KathleenGanley If you talk to the employees, the fees have gone into upgrading and resources for the public. Otherwise neither would not have happened. Nothing wrong with #userpay
How are we going to encourage less vehicle usage and achieve our climate goals if we keep making it easier/cheaper to drive? I support #userpay - I suppose gas taxes had better go up to pay for this. The money has to come from somewhere! #policyfail

Unpopular opinion, perhaps, but ALL new major highways should be tolled, with the receipts mandated by legislation to pay for the cost of construction, then removed.

NEW: Doug Ford says Ontario taxpayers will bankroll the toll-free Bradford Bypass. https://t.co/DBVwc86zfC
@troyheff #Word, Troy…My concern is #engagement with #QILTS is embarrassing. #shameonyou universities for putting first #userpay #researchers projects not - What about students first? Shame on our govt too @ScottMorrisonMP #auspol
The US health system is broken.
Speaks volumes that the #LNP has been moving healthcare delivery towards the private sector and the US #UserPay system. #LNP think tank #InstituteOfPublicAffairs
Don’t trust Morrison!!

Also...a #HamOnt stormwater fee 🌧 would shift costs & responsibility to property owners with large impervious surfaces that disproportionately contribute to stormwater runoff 🌊 and provide stable revenue to update current infrastructure... #freemarket #userpay

@OUTASA It's the cost of collecting the #etolls money that led to this failure. cc @AfricaMelane Disguising it as #UserPay is disingenuous @tito_mboweni
Exactly what #OUTA has been saying since the very beginning. If @GovernmentZA listened and added a mere 10c/litre then, #GFIP roads would have been paid off by now
@OUTASA @Moneyweb "user pay" is disingenuous. @tito_mboweni please give a break down, if you can, of each #eToll Rand collected ie how many #UserPay cents go to paying for the road & how many #UserPay cents go towards collecting the toll. Tax payers are entitled to know how you spend our tax money
@OUTASA @jacques_ford @wayneduv @tito_mboweni Wayne, I lived in the Gauteng area for 25 years & recently moved to Somerset West! I have a credit balance in my e-toll account. #ProudlySouthAfrican #MeetOurSouthAfrica #TravelBugSA #ethical #solutions #MTBS #2019MTBPS #UserPay #EToll #ETolls #MTBS #2019MTBPS
Twenty-one years of SANRAL. 6 years of OUTA! I have been an e-toll Gauteng ‘user payer’ for 6 years. Possible solutions – exemption for public transport & taxis? @MbalulaFikile @GautengProvince @SANRAL_za @SAFMRadio #MTBS #2019MTBPS #BuildingTheSouthAfricaWeWant #UserPay #EToll
@wayneduv @OUTASA @tito_mboweni @MbalulaFikile To continue with #eTolls is irrational. That's a joke - it's way beyond
.
Scenario: At the P&P till & get charged R722 for the groceries + a further R700 for the cashier to scan the stuff & take your money. #UserPay or #Insane?
The failed e-toll scheme’s physical structures may be here to stay @tito_mboweni but the revenue collection is not. @OUTASA will not support it and neither will the public at large. 6-years of failure, what’s your plan this time? https://t.co/ZjAzNBbRbQ
Civic duty or self-interest? Wayne Duvenage’s exorbitant six-year long remuneration rides on the non-payment of Gauteng E-Tolls! @SANRAL_za @OUTASA @wayneduv

There are boom toll plazas throughout South Africa & all pay these tolls! Gauteng has excellent highway infrastructure? Why non-payment? Would drivers prefer to queue at a plaza? @OUTASA @wayneduv #MTBS #2019MTBPS #UserPayScheme #UserPay #EToll #ETolls #SANRAL @tito_mboweni
Without a clear link between using roads and paying for them - my taxes stay the same whether I walk to work or drive all day long - it is inevitable that Uber and Lyft will be a part of the problem, rather than the solution. We must price roads. #UserPay https://t.co/3NjIUqOai1
@icebunyip
Agree.
The move to individualized #Userpay services has reduce/stop services required by those with sensory & physical disabilities. Some services like #Audiodescription can not be purchased.
