#NarakaChaturdashi today The 14th tithi of #KrishnaPaksha of this month is celebrated as Naraka Chaturdasi. Naraka chaturdasi celebrates the victory of #ShriKrishna over #Narakasur. Thus this is Victory of good over evil. Narakasura was the son of #Bhudevi & #VarahaMurthy. He grews greedy & troubles everyone with a wish he had that, he can be killed only by Bhudevi, his mother. With that power of boon he troubled all #Devas & even Shri Krishna. Thus Shri Krishna with #Sathyabhama, who is Bhudevi herself destroys Narakasur At his last moments Narakasur requested Shri Krishna to grant a wish that people remember him forever. Thus Krishna blessed him that on Naraka Chaturdashi thiti whoever do #MangalaSnan will not suffer in hell and thus attain Mukthi. Naraka Chaturdashi is also called #ChotiDeepavali because darkness will be vanished from all houses. Though the Zamorin is known to people of the region as a provider for many temples, many don't know how he destroyed #Varahamurthy temple at #Panniyur. Reason: For the financer of the Zamorin, Varaha was haraam. Local lore says it took 4000 men to raze down the temple.
