@oxonwildlifegrl Pic looks more like Western Red Cedar, Thuja plicata, with shoots in 2-D, leylandi has shoots in 3-D (#vegkey), does the foliage smell of Pineapple (Thuja) or Parsley (Leylandii)? Still a non-native conifer but not as ferocious a grower as leylandii with its hybrid vigour! Dr M
Yes, they come to#MScSISS with mainly zoology backgrounds so this is expected, BUT watch this space, their botanical transformation is my job and with the help of David Streeters Wild Flower Guide and the legendary #VegKey much botanical progress awaits!

@JAjowele Yes, Great Willowherb - Epilobium hirsutum (the clue is in the size and the hairiness!), in the key you'll see the flowers way too big and bright and the plant too hairy for E parviflorum #vegkey #wildflowerguide Dr M
I can see Acer campestre (Field Maple), Quercus sp (Oak), Cirsum arvense (Creeping Thistle) and Senecio vulgaris (Groundsel), I ll let others do the families and Quercus sp! The link I reckon is lobed leaves? The odd one out? Senecio is the only annual? #vegkey Dr M

Yes, Lotus pedunculatus for sure, you can see the wetness of the habitat, the hairs on leaves and you can almost second guess that secondary veins will be visible when you htl = hold to light! #vegkey
