As teased big announcement from last night. It wasn't planned, but both guests won a World Fantasy Award when WSFA cosponsored #WFC44 in Baltimore last fall.
Now the big announcement: the Guests of Honor for Capclave 2020 are author Peter Beagle .@petersbeagle and editor Troy L Wiggins .@TroyLWiggins .@fiyahlitmag

A few months later, finally going to start European Travel for Monstrous GHentlewoman by @theodoragoss. So many books from #WFC44 and #WFC43 so trying to reduce the backlog.
I just stumbled across @lrich1024's #wfc44 report, including this: "I think my absolute favorite reading of the convention was Andy Duncan’s. I loved it so much I went right out and bought a copy of the book so I could finish the story. 🙂." Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the con!
[#SPWeek18 order: https://t.co/Eyj3exBZPj] @JaeSteinbacher wrote: "Blood Sausage" came from processing feelings about relationships and ownership, as well as my interest in the nitty-gritty aspects of maintaining human-like non-organic bodies.
@nkjemisin At #wfc44 in Baltimore this year I looked to a fellow black author and we said, “there are brown people here I don’t know! AND LOTS OF THEM.” And I met a bunch of energetic young folks. Never had that experience at WFC any of the times I went, going back to 2005.
My World Fantasy Award finalist pin, of the NEW trophy, facilitated by @WFC_Baltimore #wfc44. Thank you!! A pin I can be proud to wear, b/c it's a design our whole field can be proud of.
It's easy to hide yourself in prose. In her acceptance speech at #WFC44 @FondaJLee challenges us to show ourselves in our writing (check out @orbitbooks for more of her speech)
First coffee back home has to be in my #wfc44 mug while reading all the comments in my autograph book. @wmslawhorn I love both the things. Thank you!
This year we take a look back—and a glimpse at the future of Mass Effect.

I know #WFC44 is fading into the background of the political mayhem, but I want to thank everyone I spent time with this weekend. It was the first time I'd visited Baltimore since the death of my grandmother there. Y'all made the city live for me again. My heart owes you a debt.
Scott Edelman gave a great GOH speech at @WFC_Baltimore #WFC44--experience over 40 years as fan and writer of comics & fiction and editor, and current aspects of our field that are very important to him. Definitely worth you watching: https://t.co/f96NtSZmuz
Thanks to all the attendees at @WFC_Baltimore who attended my Guest of Honor speech, where I shared con-going memories and said several things I felt needed to be said. I'll be uploading video of it shortly so those who couldn't be there can still listen should they choose.
We're back from #WFC44, and now we're looking to the upcoming #RealmMakers2019. We have some exciting announcements coming up this month. Exciting faculty type announcements. Ooo...

Meant to say this earlier, but "good job" to the #wfc44 team that jumped in and had a World Fantasy Award finalist pin commissioned to match the award. Looked great and is so much better than the "little ugly head" pin. Hope this continues to be given to finalists.
Had a great time at #WFC44. Met old friends, made new, and had great conversations with both.
To the co-chairs, volunteers, and other people that make these things work, thank you for a wonderful convention.
Still a bit fuzzy even a couple of days after the convention. In time I will say more. The convention was good. There were ways it could be better. There are some cultural things behind the scenes which must change. #WFC44
Oh, and for those who went to my #WFC44 reading: 1st passage is from “Quantifying Trust” published in _Mothers of Invention_, 2nd passage is from “Beyond the El” and will be published at https://t.co/oRH7s4Fr66 in January.
