12 years ago I ported the first commit from my little toy PHP ORM to Javascript using loads of callback hell. As of today it works with async/await on @bunjavascript ! RIP #WebSQL, Long live #Sqlite!

The deprecated #WebSQL works in Chromium based Browsers (Canary, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera.. ) I would like to use it.

WebSQL is disabled in iOS 13. You can renable it by toggling the switch called 'Disable Web SQL' in Settings/Safari/Advanced/Experimental Features. #WebSQL #iOS13

The flaw is in #WebSQL protocol. I'd like to point out that #SQLite is one of the best developed Open Source programs out there, with an amazing level of unit testing and highly skilled committers.

I've come to the sad conclusion that #JavaScript #IndexedDB is unworkable garbage. Transactional and asynchronous, but only where inconvenient; impossible in bulk; & so hard to Promisify. With #WebSQL deprecated, persistent, structured data in the browser is but a wistful memory.
