pyTKET bricks? A new educational resource to provide a hands-on and fun way to assemble well-known quantum circuits. They are based on the PyTKET circuit rendering tool, which offers both traditional quantum circuit design and ZX calculus design.

So, the name of the game is finding good stabiliser decompositions. This is hard in general, but Julien found a whole bunch of clever new tricks, mixing #zxcalculus techniques with finding good (hyper)graph cuts for disconnecting diagrams.

In https://t.co/d8o1OKXBE2 I used the ZX calculus to find a better surface code compilation. It's amazing ZX shows this and the previous constructions are simple variations on the same theme.
Also surprising: improving the threshold 2x made the performance worse at low error!
