However, when #ZipGo came forward to aggregate their services & turn them into #Nirbhaya services, d #Karnataka_Transport_dept chased them away. This is even as #Shuttl #CityFlo (similar to ZipGo) r operating in many cities across d country, even as #Bengaluru needs them d most.
Significantly, #Bengaluru 's name does not figure in the list. It's a shame, since Bengaluru was perhaps the first city in the whole of the country where this model was first introduced by #ZipGo. Unfortunately, the transport mafia here (including from the govt) threw them out.

A vicious cycle. Scarcity of buses push people to take public transport, which causes more congestion. Which then leads to @BMTC_BENGALURU slashing routes. 🤔. & they won’t let legit players like #zipgo operate.

#ZipGo had started this service in #Bengaluru way back in 2015 & if it had been facilitated by #GoK (instead of stifling it using d draconian Contract Carriage Act), half d traffic problems in d city wd hv been sorted out, obviating d need for #ElevatedCorridor style of "devpmnt"

To cross 1.5km from Silkboard to Bommanahalli jn. took 20-25mins. Pathetic!!
