Nico Ali Walsh breaks down the four major changes he wants included in the revised Zuffa Boxing Revival Act: "In layman's terms, financial transparency is absolutely essential—UBO disclosures, fighter pay. You've got to be able to show what money is being made. Free agency. Length of contracts. Rankings transparency. Those four are really the main ones that we stuck to in the meeting. If they listen to those four, we'll be in a way better position, and fighters will be able to keep a lot of the rights they have under the current Ali Act."

One important clarification: The Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act of 2026 does not eliminate interim or secondary titles from the WBC, WBA, IBF, or WBO. Instead, it proposes a parallel league style system with integrated rankings, unified titles, and one clear champion per division. My opinion: I think this is a major missed opportunity. Eliminating secondary titles was arguably one of the most widely supported reforms among boxing fans. By stopping short of doing so, the bill allows those belts to remain while introducing an entirely new set of titles through the UBOs. Rather than simplifying boxing, it could end up adding even more championships to an already fragmented landscape. #Boxing
