Africa CDC engaged African Union Member States in discussions on the African Pooled Procurement Mechanism (#APPM), bringing together representatives from Ministries of Health, National Procurement Agencies, National Regulatory Authorities (#NRAs), Regional Economic Communities (#RECs), and AU institutions to review progress toward making #APPM a fully operational continental programme and strengthening Africa’s access to quality health products.
Discussions focused on Member State participation, priority health products, collaboration with national and regional procurement systems, and increasing procurement from African manufacturers, advancing the continent’s vision to Manufacture Africa, Regulate Africa, and Procure Africa.
