Also it is dollarisation that necessitated the creation of #BondNotes frm which we never recovered. A dollarised economy creates electronic USD which needs to be matched at some point by real USD
I’ve raised this issue several times before. During GNU we ended up with too much electronic USD which was not backed up by real USD but by an imitation called #BondNotes & pegged at 1:1 to the USD. We’re here sleepwalking into the same situation. This is tragic @chifarayi

USD loans will create electronic USD but we can’t print USD. This is how we ended up with RTGS which was electronic money not backed up by real USD but #BondNotes🙏
