Finally we show that #cellularization is associated with tightly regulated transcriptional activation of #genes involved in cell adhesion, such #Catenins and #Integrins suggesting a role of these genes in the establishment of the #epithelium -like layer of cells.
Using pharmacological inhibitors we we demonstrate that #cellularization depends on the sequential role of #Arp2/3 complex, #Formins and #Myosin II in organizing the #actomyosin #network.
Using #Microscopy we observed that an extensive #actin network drives coordinated inward plasma membrane invaginations during #cellularization generating a layer of polarized #cells. @NikonEurope
S. arctica is an Ichthyosporean that undergoes several rounds of nuclear duplication without accompanying #cytokinesis to form a coenocyte. The coenocyte then “explodes” and releases hundreds of newborn cells.
