The investigation uncovered more than £1m in crypto linked to crypto wallets controlled by ‘Anthony Ikenwe’, around £500k in cash stored in a Dubai safety deposit box, and a £60k car purchased using crypto.
Police officers also identified luxury holidays to destinations including Thailand, Japan, the Maldives, and Mykonos, as well as frequent designer shopping trips to stores such as Harrods, Hermès, and Louis Vuitton.
More than 40 mobile phones, digital devices, and luxury goods worth over £26k were seized during the investigation.
Detectives traced the criminal network by identifying shared aliases, phone numbers, websites, and crypto wallets.
Funds were routinely converted into payment cards and moved through accounts, including those linked to a chauffeur business connected to ‘Kevin Nwamma’.
The familiar dirty double act of the #FCA’s Emoney scene & Dubai was up front & centre … as usual.
