Emergency Brigade Committee Meeting today. Due to proposals of closing 5 on call fire stations, removal of 4 on call attached pumps, the downgrading of a 2 appliance 24 hour stations to 2 during the day 1 at night model, 12 hour shifts and DC stations an extra hour on station.
Some people think Β£98 a week Universal Credit is enough to live on each week. But after:
Bills Β£34
Food Β£40
Transport Β£20
Toiletries and Cleaning products Β£15
Itβs impossible.
This fight is for every job, every station and every community. Wherever they try to force through more cuts, we must stand together and push back.

Dorset and Wiltshire FRS is planning to close eight on-call fire stations, and axe at least 96 firefighter posts.
FBU officials and members attended parliament yesterday to call on politicians to put an end to these dangerous cuts.
