To improve code readability in C#, I use #region and #endregion preprocessor directives.
For example, to distinguish the regions of space between public and private methods in a class.
#PHPStorm Tip: I've recently started using regions in PHPStorm for my #Vuejs components. They let you collapse large chunks of code and clearly focus on specific sections.
That's how you do it:

I just remembered that if I put some special comments in my TypeScript code, VSCode will let me collapse those sections.

This can be very useful when I have to deal with source files that are much larger than I'd like.
TIL that #PowerShell ISE is fussy about the case of #region & #endregion - if not all lower case it doesn't add the buttons to toggle the outlining regions. Extra strange given how PowerShell is mostly case insensitive for pretty much everything else
