Huge congrats to @RuthARoss11 on the thoroughly deserved Mechoulam Lifetime Achievement Award from @ICRS_Society #ICRS2024! A testament of her humility and achievements, she started her talk with a #FailureCV!
It’s important to celebrate the successes but also share the things that don’t go according to plan. Got a #grant rejection through today. Really disappointing 😞
Taking some time to feel sorry for myself before I try again

Everybody has a #failureCV. Always shining and sharing successfull stories is 1. Not real 2. Doing more harm than good!
Always feel touched whenever I see someone I respect shares their experiences of failures... my list of failures is way longer though! #failureCV
@ljuba_pi I applied to a prize.
I didn’t get it.
I applied to a prize.
I didn’t get it.
I applied to a prize.
I got it.
That's how it works, there is no shame in it, and we cannot always reasonably pretend to get things the first time we try, given the competition, right?

I applied to a prize.
I didn’t get it.
That was my first and last time.
That’s it. That’s the tweet.

I didn't get a grant I applied for; I just submitted a new grant application for a different program. Just keep swimming! #failurecv #fingerscrossed
@kritiprasad_ Adore this, Kriti! My #failureCV is long but powerful, and one day I'm going to write about it. Keep going!
The last 2 years, I’ve drafted, revised, + re-revised a piece imagining a different future for the practice of medicine…I poured my heart onto the page in a raw, desperate call for action.
I’m now ready to reclaim my efforts and move on. Feels good to flesh out my #FailureCV 🙌🏽

If I ever find myself in any form of interviewing again, what I'd like to see is a #FailureCV
Success feels nice, looks nice but failure is an opportunity. To grow, to learn, to respond, to have even greater success. It's not the opposite of success, it's part of it
#Growing
Happy to announce that I wasn't even aware of the application for the Sloan Fellowship.

@KBrookeGolisch This is so wonderful. Hats off to you. Thanks for carrying the torch & sharing your #failurecv !! Makes a huge difference to all of us. Speaking of, mine certainly needs an update 😂 #MedTwitter
11th time is the charm? First-ever manuscript accepted at @LHB_apls. I had pretty much given up - but excited about this particular paper. #FailureCV
Reminder to the many who are disappointed today: failure in medicine is common. It’s a pivot point to get to your next destination. #YouGotThis #fellowshipmatch #FailureCV
@ShreyaTrivediMD @PaulNWilliamz @GraceHuangMD are we sure this is a bad thing ?? Maybe belongs on the #AwesomeList and not the #FailureCV.
@archernikov We should have people in highly sought after positions list all the schools they've been rejected from on their website, I'll say for the sake of young people worried that a rejection is the end of their dreams :).
Today I was introduced to the concept of a Failure CV. Although I only post about my successes, there are many attempts and failures behind each one and all have helped me learn how I can be better :) #failurecv #academia
Academics show our CVs, but not what's omitted. And this can make our students feel like failures. Hence the rise of the #FailureCV or #FailCV. This is yet another entry in mine: I didn't win the election for president of @Div26HOP. And that's okay. I was honored to be nominated.
I value hearing how my colleagues/mentees have navigated failure in their lives- gives me insight and appreciation as to what they are bringing with them everyday. #Mentors, let’s normalize talking about failures in medicine. 👊🏽#failureCV.
