But the "issues" are largely made up by disgruntled northsiders? It's actually fine? Someone tell @ChicagosMayor that I had to buy a bike to get to work bc the @cta L is so unreliable. #firedorval
In March & April of this year, total CTA (Chicago) public transit ridership fell below total WMATA (DC) ridership for the first time in history. The CTA briefly dipped to fourth place nationally, having already fallen behind LA Metro since the start of the pandemic.
He plays a large role in our service cuts, lack of reliability, slow bus speeds, weak headways particularly on buses, etc.
Even before the pandemic Chicago's transit had PLENTY of room for improvement and now we're in crisis mode. #FireDorval
It’s going to take years to get them back. #firedorval
.@Chicago_Reader discusses the political intrigue as "the #FireDorval caucus grows larger."

We can’t meet our city’s climate goals without a functional @cta.
That’s why @SierraChicago is proud to join a growing coalition of active transportation orgs & elected champs to call on @ChicagosMayor to #FireDorval.
There’s much more to be done, but this is a start.
Sierra Club Chicago is joining the call for new leadership at CTA. The decline in service, reliability, transparency, and oversight is shameful. Dorval Carter has promised improvement for years while delivering nothing but cuts and scandals. @ChicagosMayor #FireDorval #twill
Every service cut represents riders giving up on transit and adding to traffic. Carter has proven that he will not improve the CTA. A strong public transit service is the best way to cut transportation emissions. To fight climate change, for reliable transit, #FireDorval.

Trying to do my feeble little part to keep the train rolling that's finally picking up steam in calling for a better CTA that Chicago deserves #firedorval @ctaaction
Jesus fucking Christ. #FireDorval
1 hour.
That's how long a CTA employee sat in the driver seat of their bus before being found unconscious. They later died. I looked into what happened that night and how a stalled bus, that missed over 50 scheduled stops, never raised any red flags. https://t.co/tLgMy8gT7q
Another shit day on the @cta - 2 Clark 22s bunched together & nothing for 20 minutes during morning commute, no 156, no 36, no Red Line. Now for evening commute the Red is obnoxiously late and again 1 car short. Fucking pathetic. #ctasucks #firedorval #ctaaction
@Positively18st Ironworkers and Operating Engineers would’ve joined the #FireDorval coalition long ago if he wasn’t effective at passing thru all those federal grant dollars.
It's ridiculous that the yellow line isn't running yet and that shuttle service is so crappy. #FireDorval @activetrans @chi_streets
It's Friday, a lead up to a holiday week, and no Blue Line service in sight. Hundreds of people waiting. @cta you are useless and disgusting. @ctaaction #ctasucks #firedorval @ChicagosMayor @GovPritzker What are you doing about it?
The complete degradation CTA board president Dorval Carter has allowed should’ve already crossed the line. But with today’s derailment and injury of workers and riders, it’s now or never for @ChicagoMayor and @GovPritzker to #FireDorval. Tell them here: https://t.co/ciPT6fyd2d
Rain or snow or shine, we're hitting the streets to connect with fellow riders and CTA workers to #FireDorval and envision a better system. Have YOU signed our letter yet? 👀 https://t.co/NocrckM10Q
