One of my biggest takeaways from #FutureCompute this year is that deep learning training is VERY expensive. These huge language models w/ 100s of billions of parameters require a ton of computing. And while GPUs from $NVDA can get the job done, this is a massive unmet market need (!!!) Be on the lookout for a wave of energy-efficient custom silicon chips to be designed in these next two years. Amazon $AMZN was already two steps ahead. That's why they designed their own with Tranium and Inferentia.
