@fyreman2006 @jab_doc 👍🏻 comment 1) Despite 8-10 minutes of drive time these procedures start an hour (!) earlier with #go2CSC. 2) tPA has limited efficacy for #ELVO 3) DIDO at PSC would need to be <30min (not achievable, I’ve tried). 4) #EMS drive time threshold for sure 30’ but probably 60’.
As Captain Potvin says, we have changed our point-of-entry for severe stroke patients (LAMS 4 and 5). The protocol extends to 24 hours from last seen well (including all "wake-up" strokes) and there is no drive time threshold (it was previously 30'). #strokecarechat #go2CSC
@SurviveStroke In Rhode Island we use the LAMS severity score to triage patients to the Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC). Patients with a LAMS score of 4 or 5 go to the (CSC). #strokecarechat

(30’ drive distance threshold eliminated). Any field severity score will save lives - not worth debating them - just put something in play.
