It allows you to stay level on all pitches. Tilting backwards is a different story altogether. Towards the plate=good, backwards=bad

Learn how to start and control your stride/forward move using your back hip.
If this is difficult, you’re most likely relying on your lead leg to be anchored into the ground in order to start your swing.

The greater majority of infield popups aren’t a result of “dropping/dipping” of a hitter’s back shoulder.
Popups are a by-product of the hitter’s barrel being swung down/not being turned.
“On-plane” = knob & barrel turned INSTANTLY
Train accordingly.
I know I may be new on the scene to this #HittingTwitter world but I promise you, I am not just yapping.
