In this video, American activists say they receive requests for material aid “directly from ICAP,” that their working groups are “directly a request from ICAP,” and that aid is distributed as “indicated by ICAP.” You will see one activist say “follow the lead of the Cubans,” citing Cuba’s “really highly advanced intelligence apparatus” and “politically conscious population.” ICAP’s Leima Martínez Freire also indicates that the Nuestra América Convoy was using Amistur for travel, with Progressive International bringing delegates to ICAP headquarters on March 21. Yes, that is when Code Pink, Ilhan Omar's daughter, and Hasan Piker were in Cuba. When American delegations go to Cuba, ICAP and Amistur are often the network behind the trip. The sanctions announced today are a major step toward cutting off a pipeline that turns American activists, especially young Americans, into political weapons for a hostile regime. It is a huge win!
