Told you all, the best way to implement multiplatform support is by using a transpiler to the target platform, like Java-to-JavaScript with #GWT or Java-to-Objective-C with #J2ObjC. Goodbye #Flutter and #React Native — welcome native development with transpilers.

@scrumtuous @bgrinter @Carnage4Life @CodeEditApp Would be my next next article: Spring Boot, GWT Boot and iOS / macOS all with #Java and transpilers #GWT #J2CL #J2ObjC and #ChatGPT 😅

@jjenkov #Java: everywhere, server, client, browser #GWT #Swift: Apple's world with Java's help #J2ObjC Maybe #Kotlin: Android uses Kotlin today as a standard, but I try to reuse Java here. #RustLang: system level programming.

@tsmith ... and for any other companies smaller than Google, I recommend just stay in #Java 😅 I'll write down, why, stay tuned. Interesting for me, they mentioned #J2CL and #J2ObjC transpilers from Java to #Closure #JavaScript and Java to #ObjectiveC 👍

@MattColey6 @SharRMooe @dlemmermann Today I never touch those "über multi platform framework" like Flutter. Not worth it. All logic based on #Java. Native in Android, native in Apple world + #J2ObjC Java2ObjC transpiler, #GWT Java2JS transpiler in Webbrowser, Swing / JavaFX for desktop. All in Java 😅

OK, my bet on the sessions of #GoogleIO 2022 #Kotlin for #Andoid and #Flutter with #Dart. 🥱 No #Java, no #GWT or #J2CL, no #J2ObjC

If you are a #Java #GWT #J2CL #J2ObjC developer, please join the #Java community below. After all… all devs for #GWT #J2CL #J2ObjC are Java developers 😊😉

@SharpeMartha The one and only language which can do everything: #Java #LearnOnceUseEverywhere #Serverless #webbrowser with #GWT #J2CL #iOS #J2ObjC #Android #microcontrollers #Lego #Mindstorms #LeJOS

@maciejwalkowiak @baldram @vlad_mihalcea @simas_ch @java This is also a good discussion on #GWT #J2CL and #J2ObjC and how #Google use them. Generally speaking they transpile #Java logic to #javascript for #webbrowser and #ObjectiveC for #ios. All the #UIs implemented #natively on the target platform https://t.co/F2krXiVGdv

@BaronAdri @kinandcarta_cr Thanks a lot @BaronAdri for the explanation👍, now I know a bit about #Flutter, but at this time I stick to the #native #technologies and use some #transpilers #GWT #J2CL #J2ObjC to reuse some #Java codes 😉

@schrepfler @gAmUssA @brunoborges #Google still uses a lot of #Java therefore they have #Transpilers #Java2JavaScript #J2CL and #Java2ObjectiveC #J2ObjC. Take a look at the analysis of #GMail end 2018 https://t.co/RoQeUt4uZT

@Grady_Booch This is gorgeous! Use #C++ as shared libs between #iOS and #Android, of course it is crappy 😝😝 If you want to shared code, use #Java (Android) and transpile the codes to #JavaScript (web) with #GWT #J2CL and also transpile them to ObjectiveC (iOS) with #J2ObjC. Only for #Logic

And we will miss the nice example reference app for #GWT and #J2ObjC, maybe @cromwellian could give us a clue? #J2CL in #Gmail?

Our special guest workshop last Saturday with @mikesdawson using #J2ObjC to share up to 90% of your code base between #Java (for #Android) and #ObjectiveC (for #iOS). Don't forget to RSVP to this week's workshop on building an #AR app for #homeautomation https://t.co/XXfzWreNNz

We're also broadcasting live on Facebook with Mike from @UstadMobile abt #J2ObjC - we'll be building an #Android app on #AndroidStudio in #Java and port the business logic directly into #ObjectiveC for #iOS and #xCode https://t.co/HSoi7RF6iD
