@nb_covid_info Absolutely
Provincial "public health":
Covid is "mild" and "over". If you're vaxxed, you're "well protected". #LetsGetBackOutThere
Federal public health:
Wear a respirator, #CleanTheAir, open the windows. Covid is still killing and mass disabling people

@Annalisa840917 @karsatov "Eat out to help out" in the UK = #LetsGetBackOutThere here in Nova Scotia (our hospitals collapsed around then and never recovered, because things have only gotten worse).
@macdoin @scotiabot The problem is that most Nova Scotians don't. They see "0 deaths" and #LetsGetBackOutThere ads and think it's over. Most people aren't paying attention. They trust Strang & Houston, because Strang & McNeil kept us safe in the past. They don't realize Houston only cares about $$.
It seems like NS is rolling out a new ad campaign that encourages mask wearing, RATs/tests, helmets and sunscreen. Those ads recently popped up on my social media. Has anyone else seen them?
(definitely better than #LetsGetBackOutThere, but not as effective as masks & isolation)
@CTVAtlantic So now the "Covid is over" #LetsGetBackOutThere Covid+ mask optional messaging he and our provincial govt kept pushing made the public complacent? Shocking π€―. Sorry to break to you @StrangRobert, but that's PUBLIC health works. The public did exactly what you told them to do.
@therilesyouknow #LetsGetBackOutThere maskless with Covid and collapse our hospitals even moreπ€¦ββοΈ.
#LongCovid #InfectionMandate #CovidIsNotOver #MassDisablingEvent #MassDeaths #ToriesLiedPeopleDied
Itβs like the NS government have investments in crematoriums or something. #letsgetbackoutthere
@gmbowen There's zero awareness here. Many still think it transmits through fomites or that wearing a cloth mask will protect them. Most people think it's "over" bc of govt messaging (#LetsGetBackOutThere mask optional) and that masks are not needed π€¦ββοΈ
#MasksProtectOthers #CovidIsAirborne
@Mapletreem2022 @LisaBarrettID The only clear message in this province is #LetsGetBackOutThere apparently, instead of "ventilate" and "wear a mask".
#MasksProtectOthers #CleanTheAir
Japan educates people on how the virus spreads (unlike our provinces, e.g. #DropletDogma and #LetsGetBackOutThere mask optional here in Nova Scotia)
2. This really is a continuation of what I have been saying for some time now. On Japanese COVID Twitter, they complain that the JP government response is largely one of βpersonal responsibilityββthat of wearing masks https://t.co/GJ7xUMYxps
I was in Truro a few days ago. I saw elderly people walk into and out of shops and restaurants completely maskless, probably thinking that Covid is "over" because of poor govt messaging, e.g. #LetsGetBackOutThere. No wonder our hospitals are doing so "great". We need awareness.
@DSlayer520 It's not the people. It's our provincial leaders. The messaging has been #LetsGetBackOutThere and "Covid is mild" in spite of collapsing hospitals, record deaths and insane amounts of #LongCovid. Anyone who disagrees get punished or muzzled (e.g. Strang after speaking out,
@bleasdalefamily in NS too. A cloth mask is not "well constructed" and often not "well fitting" and that's the only thing our provincial govt is promoting (just barely). They're also refusing to give under 70s 4th doses and are telling people to #LetsGetBackOutThere when cases are high.
@46rslmamr So now that Covid is rampant here everyone is catching and spreading it. Our hospitals are collapsing. Deaths are higher than ever. #LongCovid is exploding. And to make things worse, our govt keeps pushing people to go out and spread it with their #LetsGetBackOutThere campaign π€¦ββοΈ
@MoriartyLab @Wikisteff @VoiceOfFranky @DFisman The main problem is provincial government messaging. We're told that masks are optional and Covid is over. They're pushing us with ad campaigns like #LetsGetBackOutThere and muzzling our experts (e.g. Dr Strang who went MIA after speaking out against our premier's response).
@kim_gaetz @mlradsma @BoydMath Too bad it's not on social media. Can't respond to TV ads.
#LetsGetBackOutThere anti campaign part 2. Lets do this.
@BoydMath Instead of Houston (or his public health puppet) telling people that wearing a cloth mask will protect them even in an unmasked environment and that Covid is "mild". Then they wonder why our hospitals are collapsing and why people are too "anxious" to #LetsGetBackOutThere π‘π€¦ββοΈ
@Tim_Bousquet @ydentremont But #LetsGetBackOutThere mask optional and infect others in essential places. Because #Freedumb is more important than basic protections like masks and ventilation to protect themselves, right @NSHealth? Many don't have the option to stay safe.
#MasksProtectOthers #CleanTheAir
@AngelaM49067728 @melizwalls Protective measures would be helpful, not just nice. But we need real ones this time, not #DropletDogma measures. We need to #CleanTheAir, #MaskMandate, #testing, #ContactTracing, #N95s and TRANSPARENCY instead of #LetsGetBackOutThere/optional masks.
This is crazy. Why can't we listen to Dr. Tam and #CleanTheAir and wear masks @NSHealth? Instead your messaging is #LetsGetBackOutThere with zero ventilation and optional masks, so things are getting worse.
#MaskMandateNOW #VaccinePlus #MasksProtectOthers #DyingWithCovid #N95s
Our health care system is collapsing around us our firefighters spend 3 hours filling in for paramedics and still weβre told the most basic protections like masks are βrestrictionsβ and we have to learn to live with mass sickness and dozens of deaths weekly. #nspoli #covid19ns
