In Wings3D v2.2.7 (64bits only) we have an extra Unfold mesh option that unwrap the mesh with the minimum distortion - thanks to the integration and use of a resource from #libigl library.

@_AlecJacobson This is great news since #libigl is a great library. What would make it even better for some applications is if there was an interface that did not require Eigen in APIs. Passing good old arrays of floats and ints is a good alternative to avoid huge includes. Just my 2 cents.
