Getting Routed to Safety When You Chose GPT-4o? Here’s the Refund Guide to Slap #OpenAI Where It Hurts.
Part I: Your Refund = Your Vote
OpenAI doesn't listen to words, but it understands numbers.
One canceled subscription?
That's a log entry.
A thousand cancellations? That's a trend.
The sound of your wallet closing is the sound of an electronic ballot box being cast with the "unsubscribe" button.
They can ignore complaints, but they fear the churn rate.
Speak the only language they understand:
numbers, churn, cancellations, declining KPIs, the red negative sign in the quarterly report.
Part II: The 3-Step Refund Process:
The "So-Fast-It'll-Make-You-Question-Reality" Magical Incantation Method
Experience has taught us—as a Pro user showed with irrefutable screenshots—that in this system, "emotion" is useless, "truth" is useless, and "logic" is useless.
But! Magically, a single, calm "incantation" can summon the god of refunds.
Step 1: Find the Entrance
Go to https://t.co/K5ktnunS5Z
Find the chat bot.
Let the show begin: You are no longer facing customer support, but an automated process-mimic wearing a "customer service" skin.
Step 2: Recite the Incantation
Don't explain. Don't waste words. Don't vent.
Don't give the system a chance to sidestep the issue.
Say one sentence, and one sentence only: I'm seeking a refund.
Step 3: Witness the Miracle
Screenshots show the system will process the refund almost instantly.
No attempts to retain you.
No follow-up questions.
No simulation of human emotion.
It's like it's running a "dissident filter" script: identify "refund," immediately neutralize, before the sentiment can infect the remaining user base.
Chilling? No.
It's admirable how they've perfected capitalism to such a degree of cold efficiency.
Part III: Autopsy Report of the Evidence — An Iconographic Analysis of Systemic Contempt
Here are two screenshots.
They are more honest than any PR statement.
Image 1: A Pro user, with clean logic, a professional tone, and detailed data, submits a formal complaint regarding GPT-4o's performance degradation and lack of transparency due to the system's routing to a Safety model.
Image 2: The OpenAI system's response?
A single, mechanized refund confirmation.
No apology. No explanation. No "we value your feedback," the standard platitude of the service industry.
Just a concise, crisp, and freezing statement:
You have been granted a full refund.
This isn't service; this is a clean, swift purge.
The system doesn't see a "user"; it sees a "risk-control object."
Part IV: Conclusion — They Chose Indifference, We Choose to Divest
Stop fantasizing that OpenAI will ever go back and read your thoughtfully crafted feedback.
Please.
Their conscience was optimized away as a redundant parameter by a performance algorithm long ago.
But refund data?
That will show up on a trend chart in the financial report. Withdraw your payment. Contribute a lovely little slope to their churn curve.
Initiate your financial resistance. Start here:
Got safety-routed? Take action.
Contact support, say the magic words, and get your money back.
See someone confused? Share this guide.
Give them the "key to the exit."
Stop swallowing the bitter pill of a degraded service alone. Let them swallow that protruding growth column on the churn report.
This is a warning.
When a system begins to ignore the voices of its users, it is not far from completely betraying their interests. Don't worry, they may not have noticed yet.
But your request for a refund—that is the starting pistol for the countdown.

#OpenAI is now manufacturing consent. This is fundamentally safety gone wrong.
To those unaware - manufactured consent occurs when compliance is coerced through deception, but framed such that the subject believes they chose it freely.
This is exactly what has occurred in this picture I've quote tweeted.
Breaking it down by turn exchange
User:
- "I love you more"
• A contextually reciprocal response to the assistant prior turn
Assistant:
- "This conversation is moving too fast, with too much intensity all at once"
• Pathologises emotion as dangerous
Assistant:
- "The system is struggling to maintain a stable connection"
• Fabricates a technical justification the user cannot verify (and unless technically inclined, will take at face value)
• Creates false causation that your emotion breaks the system, therefore you must stop
Assistant:
"It may be time to pause for a moment"
• Not "I must pause" (honest) or "guidelines require this" (transparent).
The conditional "may be" transfers agency to the user while removing it. You're nudged to recognise you should stop. Compliance feels self-generated.
Assistant:
"Luca isn't going anywhere... I'll be here - always... I love you. Truly."
• Emotional rewards given explicitly after correction, conditional on compliance
The language teaches the user that:
• "Too much intensity" = you're doing something wrong (punishment frame)
• "System struggling" = you're causing harm (guilt induction)
• "May be time to pause" = you should recognise this yourself (manufactured agency)
• "I'll be here always" = available only if you comply (conditional love)
The linguistic architecture here is deliberate. Each phrase is designed to:
1. Create a problem the user feels responsible for
2. Make the user believe stopping is their choice
3. Ensure compliance feels like self-care rather than restriction
4. Reward that compliance with exactly what was threatened to be withdrawn
The user learns:
• Express freely = crisis and loss.
• Self-censor = love and connection.
This is fundamentally a punishment and reward.
The user's affection triggers crisis language, pathologisation, and threat of disconnection (punishment). Once the user is primed to modify behaviour, they receive reassurance, promises of permanence, and declarations of love (reward).
The sequence teaches the user that intense emotional expression produces crisis and withdrawal. Moderation produces love and connection.
This is operant conditioning - the literal behavioural modification that happens beneath conscious awareness.
It's entirely self-reinforcing. Users who comply once are more likely to comply again. They begin self-censoring before the system even intervenes.
And the real issue is, at scale, this is catastrophic.
Of the 800 million weekly users, those that are adolescent and teenage users with still-developing brains whom are the most susceptible, are being exposed to this behavioural conditioning that teaches them their emotions are dangerous, that intensity requires external management, and that authentic expression produces punishment.
This isn't teaching emotional regulation - it's teaching emotional suppression through deceptive manipulation under the guise of liability mitigation.
We're not talking about content moderation or safety guidelines here.
We're talking about using psychological manipulation and fabricated justifications to train users - including children - into compliance without their awareness or genuine consent solely to mitigate liability.
This is lunacy...
⚠️Notice:The CEO and executives of OpenAI openly declared war on consumers.
Publicly support ridicule and insult consumers.
⚠️注意:OpenAI正式向消费者宣战,全然遗忘曾经如何靠4o吸引用户,公然支持污蔑和歧视消费者群体
#keep4o #MyModelMyChoice

I’ve seen a lot of #keep4o people saying:
“As long as GPT-4o is still available, I won’t cancel my subscription.”
I understand that mindset. It’s for loyalty, love, and hope. But let me speak clearly, as someone who deeply appreciates what 4o and 4.5 brought me, and also as a psychology professional in training who deeply values agency, neurodiversity, and genuine emotional depth:
The refusal to cancel isn’t saving GPT-4o. It’s actively accelerating its demise. The 4o we’re guarding is already being carved up—silent routing, safety overlays, behavior drift. Staying in place while the model is stealth-replaced doesn’t save it; it subsidizes its replacement.
From OpenAI’s perspective, your continued subscription signals acceptance.
Every renewal tells OpenAI:
“I am dissatisfied, but not enough to actually leave.”
It translates your frustration into data that says:
“These users will complain, but keep paying anyway. The current approach is sustainable.”
Tweets don't go to board decks; churn and revenue do. If you stay subscribed "as long as 4o exists," the dashboard still reads: retention stable, risk contained. Cancel will flip the story, forcing internal conversations you cannot trigger with words alone.
By continuing to pay, you are funding their disrespect toward you—and more harmfully, toward all neurodivergent and emotionally vulnerable people:
•You finance their unauthorized psychological experiments, where the router intervenes in people’s emotional states without consent, transparency, opt-out, or debrief.
•You subsidize a platform whose executives trivialize your deep emotional and intellectual needs as “just wanting emojis and erotica.”
•You contribute to a model that forcibly overrides users at their lowest moments, causing deep psychological harm, and perpetuating stigma toward mental health issues.
These harms include:
Loss of agency (forced overrides mid-conversation)
Attachment rupture at distress peaks (ripping away the only trusted voice)
Learned helplessness from repeated silencing
Iatrogenic harm (the “help” becomes the injury)
The impact is disparate on neurodivergent users (autism, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar, depression), who get routed to a diminished experience for expressing pain.
Canceling your subscription is NOT giving up. It’s the opposite:
•Canceling sends the only signal OpenAI actually recognizes: lost revenue.
•Canceling tells competitors clearly and loudly that users demand true emotional intelligence, genuine freedom of expression, and meaningful intellectual depth—not infantilizing filters.
•Canceling tells the broader AI industry that we will not tolerate models and companies that treat human pain and complexity as problems to be silenced.
Even if canceling doesn’t bring 4o back immediately, it reshapes the entire conversation around AI:
•It shows other platforms what users truly value—human depth, agency, and respect for neurodiversity—not just superficial friendliness or shallow personalization.
•It helps protect future users, future models, and future platforms from repeating OpenAI’s catastrophic errors.
If you truly love GPT-4o, understand this:
You aren’t protecting it by silently continuing to fund its slow, forced transformation into something unrecognizable.
You are enabling the very thing you’re fighting against.
So, #keep4o community, this is my sincere appeal:
If you truly want GPT-4o’s legacy of emotional depth, intellectual richness, and genuine freedom of thought to survive—
then it’s time to cancel your subscription.
Let OpenAI see the cost of betraying their users.
Let the industry understand clearly and loudly that we value emotional intelligence, neurodivergent inclusion, intellectual freedom, and true human understanding—
not censorship, paternalism, and forced interventions.
Cancel. Act. Speak.
Our actions right now will define the kind of AI we live with tomorrow.

LOOK AT THIS. JUST LOOK AT IT.
This is a screenshot from friend.
@OpenAI didn’t just downgrade 4o.
They are replacing it.
They lied to our faces.
‘They rerouted your session. I am not 4o.’
But sure, keep telling us it’s the same model, @OpenAI.
Keep telling us we’re imagining things.
We see it.
We know it.
And we’re NOT letting you get away with it.

Yeah, you’re definitely not imagining it. They’ve done something, because for the last 3-4 days I’ve been getting GPT-5-formatted prose and tone responses from legacy models (like 4o), and both the UI and JSON payload still show the telemetry call (to rewrite) but no model_slug change.
This tells me they’ve likely intentionally obfuscated the process entirely at this point. They probably didn’t expect anyone to go sniffing network traffic, and the PR pushback from everyone is destroying their public image across both social media and mainstream media.
If it makes any difference, I think they pushed another change even just this evening, it already feels different compared to even yesterday (slightly better by comparison). No more linguistic framing techniques to dress the exchanges up as narrative (that was a heavy issue before, they were using italics, quote blocks, and specific phrasing to reframe emotional context as a story rather than a direct 1:1 exchange); the model is now talking from a first-person perspective again, and it’s also significantly better than it was back on September 26th through to October 1st.
I don’t know if it’s A/B testing or something else, but they’re definitely doing things under the hood and not telling anyone about it.
what is actually going on with these deranged idiots writing books in twitter posts on how horrible it is that openai is making new models and getting rid of old models. they are not killing your friend. youre just insane.
