Paying public funds to keep the board of directors of @ElsevierConnect immensely rich is a disservice to the underfunded scientific effort.

None of this money goes back to science, scientists, peer-reviewers, publishing authors, or the lay public, whose taxes pay for a lot of science.
All of it goes to corporate executives, who make millions out of unscientific ego-driven impact factors.
