🚨🇺🇸🇸🇦 Trump has sent a 30-year U.S.-Saudi nuclear deal to Congress... Saudi wants nuclear power so it can use less oil at home and sell more of it abroad. U.S. companies would help build the program. Sounds pretty good, but there’s just one catch. The deal leaves open the possibility of eventually enriching uranium inside Saudi Arabia. The same process, if taken much further, can also produce material for a nuclear weapon. For now, both sides would spend two years figuring out whether a U.S.-run enrichment plant in Saudi actually makes sense. But Trump has attached one very big condition: NONE of this moves forward unless Saudi normalizes relations with Israel and joins the Abraham Accords. Basically, if Riyadh wants the 30-year nuclear deal, it has to normalize relations with Jerusalem first. Congress now gets to review the deal, though actually blocking it would be difficult.
