This was the tornado that touched down in Clarksville, TN earlier this afternoon.
National Weather Service Offices in the area will be conducting damage surveys the next few days to determine how strong the multiple tornadoes that touched down in middle Tennessee were.

We have deployed the @HighwaysWMIDS HGV today in across the motorway network in @StaffsPolice and @WMPolice. We have stopped a number of vehicles including goods vehicles and dealt with a number of drivers for various offences during the day. #optogether πNM
Today we issued:
A fixed penalty notice for an overweight vehicle, a verbal warning for defective lights and 11 prohibitions for insecure loads and defective brakes.
These are issued if a defect must be rectified at once, meaning the vehicle must stop its journey.

We also stopped one vehicle that was travelling at 33 per cent over its permitted weight, while another vehicle was stopped for not having a licence plate or working rear lights.

Weβve stopped numerous vehicles which have defective tyres, including a 44-ton lorry.
The legal requirement for tyres is 1.6mm for cars and light goods and 1.0mm for vehicles over 7.5 tons.
