7/7 In conclusion, incidence of #pheo and #para is increasing and presentation is chancing (age, size & symptoms). This is mainly due to incidental image diagnosis. Remember that lack of classic symptoms DO NOT rule out #pheo in patients with adrenal tumors!

Excellent lecture on pheos with Dr Young today! Some teaching points: 1. Lipid poor, vascular adrenal nodule with normal biochemistry can still be an asymptomatic pheo. 2. Spells In a true pheo always has ‘pallor’ 3. No advantage in MRI over CT #mayoendo #pheos #NET

@AshleyGWinter @ChrisKollerUro @TheRealDrMann @TulaneUrology As a urologist who does a lot of adrenal surgery, I think that if we want to operate in this space we have to know HOW and WHEN to work up these patients. At @NCICCR_UroOnc, we work up incidentalomas and #pheos , but enlist endocrine colleagues for aldos.
