Walked out of the house this morning and the total stranger rendering the house across the road called out "How are your quail?"

A couple of hours Quail hunting around Hale Plains was unsuccessful. But Red Kite (nfy), 3 Hobby, Corn Bunting, Yellowhammer, Yellow Wag and loads of Skylark, Grey Partridge and other breeders made for some fun walking #birding #quailfail
It does mean that we don't breed the poultry, because we don't want to produce boys. But chickens are what, two quid? It's not a big issue. And after the #quailfail I've gone right off boys... ;)
We also discovered, at 4am, that quail are REALLY BLOODY LOUD.
Also that quail poo is like glue and really hard to scrape off a tiled conservatory floor...
