Stray dog allegedly beaten to death at IIT Hyderabad A case of animal cruelty at IIT Hyderabad has prompted an investigation by the Sangareddy police. According to a complaint filed on October 1 by Adulapuram Goutham, Cruelty Prevention Manager at the Stray Animal Foundation of India, a stray dog was badly beaten by unknown people at the institute in Kandi on September 27 around 4 PM. The attack left the dog seriously injured, and she later died. Campus residents said the dog was a healthy community animal who usually stayed near Acad B block, close to the Civil Engineering Department. They reported she had been missing for two days before her body was found. A video from Sunday night showed the dog limping and bleeding, which residents said proved she had been beaten. Residents also said the dog was fine on Saturday night but was found dead later. Her body was taken away by housekeeping staff and dumped in the forest. #IITHyderabad #IITHyderabadnews #Sangareddynews #Sangareddy #Hyderabadanimalcruelty
