In 2004, #STT was implemented in place of #LTCG tax.
Modi government reimposed LTCG at 10%, kept STT in 2018, and later raised LTCG to 12.5% while also hiking STT while in collecting 20% more while 75 days still left in FY25.
Budget had STT target of 37,000 cr but by Jan 12 they had collected 44,558 cr already burning investors alive to give revdi to shoshit vanchit pidit.
