In 2018 @uniofbrighton partnered with @EnglishsoB restaurant, who throw away over 50,000 oyster shells annually, to recycle🦪shells into tiles suitable to hang on the outside of buildings. Their oysters are supplied by Essex-based @rhawardsoysters 🙌#circulareconomy #shellcrete

The cultch mountain is growing! (Swipe to see what it looked like at the start!) We are now collecting waste shell from two Mersea Island restaurants, and it’s really starting to pile up. Thank you Seafood at Dawn for joining our #shellrecycling programme!
