4KP: To help us remember the stages of the water cycle and to see them in action, we created our own water cycle zip-lock bags. We then stuck them to our class window so we can observe the changes water goes through! ☁️ 🌧 #smbbscience
Year 2 investigated how exercise affects our heart rate. We made predictions, with reasoning, for different types of exercise. We discussed fair testing, carried out our investigation and listened to the change in our heart rate, if any, using stethoscopes. #smbbscience
Investigating materials properties! #smbbscience
We had lots of fun using different objects to predict if they would float or sink. We talked about the different properties. #smbbscience
Year 5 have been comparing and grouping materials based on their properties. Firstly, we made predictions and then tested the materials. #smbbscience
Today 4KP have been conducting experiments to observe the changes water goes through. We observed melting, condensation and evaporation. 💦 💧 #smbbscience
As part of our topic on Winter we have been investigating how ice melts. We rescued the animals from the ice balloons. We tested fairy liquid, warm water, sugar, salt and food colouring. We used our senses and discussed what would happen. #smbbscience #smbbearlyyears
