You are the threat. The Restrict Act is aimed at American Citizens and is an attempt to lock down the free and private exchange of digital information. It violates the 4th and 5th amendments. Look at the definitions of transaction and non-evasion. A transaction is any transfer of value, information, or data. Any other transaction that is not covered by this bill is covered. Attempting to hide a "transaction" may be punished with 20 years in jail, a million dollar fine, and confiscation of any assets you have, per infraction, without trial or review outside of a petition up to 60 days after your arrest to an essentially powerless federal judge that can not interfere or intercede. This bill is a direct attack on everyone that uses the internet. It gives enormous arbitrary discretion to 1 person to dissappear anyone they do not agree with. The government should be restricted, not you.

The Restrict Act not only bans Americans from using TikTok, it is a Patriot Act 2.0 for the Internet. It would give the govt unfettered access to all the data on our computers, phones, security cameras, internet browsing history, payment applications and more. It throws the Freedom of Information Act out the window, cannot be challenged in court, and criminalizes the use of a VPN with up to 20 years in jail and $1M fine.
