Plz hire me bc, โI honestly do not have any recommendations for improvements. Dr. Kim created one of the safest environments I have been a part of...She has made me, as a WOC, feel seen and appreciated with the inclusivity she emulates & emphasizes in every class.โ #teachingevals
"I like listening to Dr. Hlozek talk because she has an excellent accent.โ and "Professor Hlozek may have spoken a bit fast at times.โ Two student reviews that are not unrelated. #teachingevals #newishprof #southafrican
Asymptotically there will almost surely be at least one student that loathes you. You are horrible at everything and should consider another career. I suppose this is one way to include their unconstructive feedback into my predictive analytics course next year. #teachingevals
To my wonderful #UNEFrench students out there, a profound sincere **MERCI** for your generous & kind words in your #teachingEvals Know that every one of your words counts. You've made my day, week, year! ๐It's been a privilege being your teacher.
@UniNewEngland @UNE_Sydney
Students rate male instructors more highly than female instructors, and white higher than POC. Links to data and an experiment to mitigate in article. #genderbias #teachingevals #studentteachingevals #biasinacademia https://t.co/mQc1Erry1c
This summer I taught two online classes. One upper level for majors and an intro course. #AcademicTwitter #polisci #teachingevals
From the bottom of my heart, thank you, merci to my *awesome* #UNEFrench students @UNE_Sydney @UniNewEngland. Your words mean the world to me and I am honoured to have played a part in your learning journey. Here's to a fantastique Trimester 2 <3! #TeachingEvals
While academia would like us to define #sucess as #QSrankings, #hscores, #teachingevals and #grantssubmitted, it pays to take a moment to remember that everyone defines success differently.
Today I am going to take some time to reflect on how closely my values align at the moment
I once taught intro psych with someone of similar age/size/gender. Received over 1,000 hard copy (it was the old days) teaching evals, completely useless because many students didn't even realize there were 2 of us. #teachingevals #highered
@schneiderneuro One term I taught one section of a course that had two โKimโ instructors. I went around at the final asking students โam I your prof?โ (We had different exams). Many werenโt sure. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
One of the most personally inspiring #teachingevals Iโve ever received. @Otterbein students know the value of hard work!
Here is a list of citations documenting gender bias in student evaluations to get you started. https://t.co/3hCvds9iyS
"Strength: doesn't waste classtime by indulging when someone makes a low-value comment. Weakness: Can sometimes come off as too harsh when shutting someone down when they make a low-value comment"
These things might be correlated...
#teachingevals
Student A: "More quant/hw assignments"
Student B: "The quant assignments are useless. Get rid of them."
#teachingevals
"Weakness: Quant assignments were too difficult and time consuming"
Same student, "Excluding class sessions, estimate the average number of hours per week spent in preparation or review: 0 hours"

Write down one change I could make that would most improve this course:
"More guest profs"
Ouch.
#teachingevals
"A little too intense sometimes"
I hear that.
#teachingevals
"There were times it seemed the professor was as unthrilled to be in class at 6pm as we were. I'm not sure if that is a strength or weakness"
I also am not sure.
