IRISH WHEN IT SUITS? FOREIGN WHEN IT DOESN'T? By Suzie D. When migrant crimes are reported, they are depicted as Irish criminals in the media, but in court their foreigner status is used in their favour. Romanian Liviu #Tenea, who viciously raped an Irish woman, is set to serve less time than he would if was Irish. Justice Mary Ellen Ring, (who doesn't want to discuss Yousef Palani's crimes in detail) thinks Mr. Tenea would have a difficult time in prison because he is foreign, and has afforded him special treatment. She also feels he is not too likely to reoffend, despite a previous Spanish rape conviction. The likelihood of him de-escalating his offending rather than escalating it is remote. Gardaí stated he has an established "modus operandi." In Spain, Tenea did not serve his full sentence, nor was he subjected to the 10-year post release supervision order imposed. He drove the victim to a secluded spot, dragged her from the car, sodomising and vaginally raping her as she begged him not to. She feared death, and says her life is destroyed. The judge admired Tenea wrote an apology, despite initially insisting the woman consented. His partner also apologised. Why? Did she cover for him? By sticking by him, how is she sorry for the victims? Tenea's letter is designed to benefit him, as advised by his free representation. Someone who commits this type of crime twice (that we know of), is rarely capable of remorse. In any case, an apology for rape is akin to apology for murder: meaningless. It cannot return to the victim the tangible and intangible things stolen during the depraved act. What has also been taken from the lady is a sense that she matters more than the man who irrevocably changed her life in a humiliating way. The judge (and by extension of that, the state) has re-victimised her, adding to the humiliation she suffered. The court expressed hopes she will continue with her recovery, yet likely they've hampered it by attenuating Mr. Tenea's punishment. It does not seem incidental that this makes the public feel totally demoralised. It's as though we are being collectively, systematically abused. Last week a gang rape court case was dropped instead of allowing the victim to give evidence via video link, which legally could have been granted. The judge preferred to allow the accused to walk free rather than afford the alleged victim kindness, or rights. Showing empathy is reserved for men like Mr. Tenea, and it's a pattern. Another Romanian, Costel Pirvu had his rape and false imprisonment sentence significantly reduced this year on the basis he too would have a hard time. Specifically, because he allegedly didn’t speak English fluently, in spite of previous convictions for attempted rape. His Irish victim was an intellectually disabled girl. Of course, the press were at pains to report it was a mild disability, and the @thejournal_ie stated he was "from Loughrea". Migrant predators are being sent a dangerous message: ~ Ireland is an easy place to rape and murder women. ~ There are no checks. ~ There are not enough police. ~ The press will cover it up. Or twist the facts. ~ Disgusting extreme leftists will say it's not their fault, but is the fault of the Irish (as @RuthCoppingerSP has). ~ The courts will be lenient on them, and trust they won't reoffend. ~ They will be defended, and rarely deported. ~ They can pretend they don't speak English to benefit them in getting a lesser sentence, or to drag out an already excruciating trial for the victim (or their family, as is the case in the #AshlingMurphy trial). Mainstream media and other criminal migrant apologists seek to cushion foreign predators. Now judges (usually typically dispassionate) are doing it too, despite no legal basis for that. In doing so they conceivably attract more monsters to walk amongst us. Add these judges to your list of traitors.
